TYCO XPS tile backer board has a core made from extruded polystyrene foam. On the smooth side of the tile backer board premium, a glass fiber network is incorporated into the plaster so that there is a smooth, cement finish.

 

XPS tile backer boards reduce warm up times and running costs in all cases, but they are especially recommended if installing undertile heating on uninsulated concrete floors.
